This mimics the regular rainfall of its native home. In the cooler months, growth slows, so pull back watering and let the soil dry out a little more between drinks. The pot has a drainage hole, and it sits slightly above the stand, so you can place a saucer underneath to catch excess water. Empty the saucer after watering so the roots never sit in water.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe aerial roots are a natural feature of this plant, so please don’t cut them off. You can gently tuck them back into the soil if you like.
