Brachychiton rupestris
Queensland Bottle Tree

A slow-growing Australian native known for its raw, sculptural beauty, this young Brachychiton rupestris embraces the spirit of Wabi Sabi – celebrating form, asymmetry, and beautiful imperfection. Grown in 300mm pots, each plant has a unique structure and natural variation in bark, branching, and texture. Every specimen is individually selected and photographed – what you see is exactly what you’ll receive.

These younger trees offer a quiet presence, ideal for adding character to interiors or protected outdoor spaces. With time, they develop the distinct features this species is known for, but even now, their irregular silhouettes and rugged texture make a subtle, sculptural statement.

Care Advice
Brachychiton rupestris prefers full sun to bright, indirect light. Indoors, place near a north or west-facing window. Allow the potting mix to fully dry out between waterings – typically every 10–14 days in warmer months, and less frequently in cooler conditions. Always ensure excellent drainage, and avoid leaving the pot sitting in water.

This hardy native is drought-tolerant and very low-maintenance. Its slow growth and resilience make it a forgiving choice for beginners and a rewarding one for collectors. No pruning is needed unless shaping is desired. Rotate every few weeks to promote balanced form.

A refined, minimal tree that quietly invites stillness, texture, and natural design into your space.
