The QLD Bottle Tree recalls an Alberto Giacometti sculpture - stretched, fragile and finding perfection in imperfection. They stand like a bonsai rendered by nature itself, its curves and textures speaking to wabi-sabi ideals: beauty in imperfection and harmony with nature.
Although found in dry open woodlands in QLD today, its botanical lineage traces back to the ancient rainforests of Gondwana which is what we believe allows it to thrive in a bright indoor spot in your home - mimicking the dappled, indirect light of the rainforest's understory.
When watering, you want to make wet the entire rootball and allow any excess water to drain from the drainage holes in your pot. This is an important step as they're endemic to the aforementioned dry bush of QLD so are used to dry soil. When they're watered they suck up a lot of water and store it in their trunks (they're technically a succulent) so space out waters to once every 2 weeks, or when the rootball is largely moisture free.
Plant is delivered in black plastic grow pot.
