Brachychiton rupestris
Queensland Bottle Tree

An Australian native with quiet, sculptural charm, Brachychiton rupestris is a tree that embraces Wabi Sabi — the beauty of natural form, asymmetry, and gentle imperfection. Grown in 400mm pots, each plant is uniquely shaped, with textured bark, irregular branching, and a calm, grounded presence. Every specimen is individually selected and photographed – what you see is exactly what you’ll receive.

These young trees already show the raw simplicity and elegance that makes Brachychiton a favourite among designers and plant collectors. They add structure and subtle movement to interiors, blending seamlessly into minimalist, native, or earthy aesthetics.

Care Advice
Brachychiton rupestris thrives in full sun to bright, indirect light. Indoors, place near a north or west-facing window or in a bright room with good airflow. Water deeply only when the potting mix is completely dry — typically every 10–14 days in warmer months and less often in winter. Good drainage is essential; never allow the plant to sit in water.

This species is drought-tolerant, slow-growing, and incredibly hardy, making it perfect for low-maintenance plant lovers. It prefers to dry out fully between waterings and will not tolerate soggy soil. No pruning is needed unless shaping is desired. Rotate occasionally to encourage even growth, and let its character evolve naturally over time.

A beautifully imperfect Australian native – quietly bold, resilient, and full of presence.
