Care Advice
-
Light: Needs a very bright spot. Full sun or high-intensity indirect light keeps the bottle trees strong and the succulent mound tight and green.
-
Water: Less is definitely more. The Deuterocohnia mound will rot if it sits in soggy soil. Only water when the soil is mostly dry, and try to pour the water near the tree trunks rather than soaking the top of the succulent mound.
-
Maintenance: Wipe the tree leaves if they get dusty. If the succulent mound starts looking brown or mushy in spots, it’s getting too much water—back off and let it bone-dry.
A Note on Weight
This is a substantial, heavy-set piece. We recommend a 2 person lift for any movement.
A Note on Drainage
We can supply sandstone pot feet faced with rubber if placing inside. This pot has drainage holes. Keeping it elevated on these feet is non-negotiable for the Deuterocohnia—it needs that airflow underneath to stay healthy.
