Medium to Bright Indirect Light Indoors. A spot near a bright window is ideal, and some gentle morning sun is fine. Avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.

From spring to autumn, when the tree is actively growing, water thoroughly and allow the top 5 cm of soil to dry out before watering again. This mimics the regular rainfall of its native home. In the cooler months, growth slows, so pull back watering and let the soil dry out a little more between drinks. A large pot holds moisture for longer than a small one, so always check the soil before watering rather than sticking to a fixed schedule.

Ficus prefer stable conditions. Keep yours away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents, and try not to move it around too much, as sudden changes can cause leaf drop. Wipe the long leaves occasionally to remove dust and help the plant absorb light, and rotate the pot every so often for even growth.
