Pachypodium baronii in Mid-Century Concrete Pot
Pachypodium baronii
Height: / Ø:
Rare Madagascan succulent with a swollen, spined trunk and branching crown. Grown for its architectural form and slow, deliberate growth.
Set in a mid-century concrete pot, finished with gravel dressing at the surface. Surface wear and patina reflect age and prior use.
Care
Position on a sunny windowsill or in a space with strong, direct light. This species requires high light indoors to maintain compact growth and form.
Allow the potting mix to largely dry out between waterings, typically 10–14 days depending on season and temperature. When watering, thoroughly wet the entire root ball.
Pachypodium baronii enters a natural dormancy during winter and may shed some or all of its leaves. Reduce watering significantly during this period and resume regular watering as new growth appears in warmer months.
No saucer. When used indoors, place a waterproof tray or surface beneath and allow the pot to drain freely after watering.
