Queensland Bottle Trees Plaited in Willy Guhl Low Off Kilter Planter by Eternit, cira 1960s
Three QLD Bottle Trees planted as if they were dancing in the rare and highly covetable design classic, the Willy Guhl off kilter planter, circa 1960s.
Height: 1.5m
Pot Diameter: 650mm
Native to Central QLD. Wet and Dry Seasons.
With plant care, we are trying as best we can to emulate the plant's natural environment in our homes.
Medium to Bright Indirect Light Indoors.
From October to March, water thoroughly and then allow the top 10cm of soil to dry out, emulating the wetter conditions of a QLD summer and the season in which the tree is growing and active. In the cooler, drier months, pull back watering to allow the rootball to totally dry out as the tree goes semi dormant. During this dry season, the tree naturally will lose some of its leaves and slow its growth. Interestingly, it is one of the few native plants to exhibit a semi deciduous nature.
